Ha ha, everyone in the US, I had my book 6 HOURS before you all and I totally was up until 5 am reading it! Dani and I went to Waterstone's bookstore at about quarter to eleven to get in line for our books. We got CANDY. I enjoyed that greatly. There were a TON of people there, but since we were pretty early, we were number 35. :) Go us! They were giving away prizes, playing the Harry Potter movie theme music, and selling beverages, and it was a great time. I bought a diet Pepsi while I waited. Yay, soda! When it was time to go upstairs to the Harry Potter area, it was soooo exciting! There were probably over 400 copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince all in neat little piles! They had banners hanging for the four houses, and there was even a reporter interviewing people! When Dani and I got to the front to buy our books, we got the coolest Harry Potter gift bags to put our books in! !!!!!!!!!!!!! They gave us all a free copy of a book called Lionboy too! AWESOME! We wandered about for a bit, but it was pretty crowded (duh), so we made our way out of the store. I found the Barry Trotter parodies too!! I think I might buy them- I mean, Bored of the Rings was HILARIOUS, so those books should be too, right? Anyhoodles, Dani and I were both super excited, and all was good 'n' stuff. On our way back, some random British people walking ahead of us totally stopped to talk to us. It was cool. You see, I had finished Dani's vanilla ice thingy because it was making her sick (too sweet) and then it made me feel kinda gross too (but it was WORTH it. YUM.) and I was all like "Eww, now I feel sick too." and one of the British guys fell back a bit in pace, and Dani told him, "No, she's not really sick. Not really." And then he asked, "Well, what made you feel like that, then?" and I told him and laughed a bit while saying it was worth it. Then he told me he saw I'd downgraded to diet Pepsi, and I said that yes, I had, but it was in upgrade that it didn't make me feel sickly. Then we all went our separate ways, and Dani and I read Harry Potter until 5am, which is still an hour before anyone in the Midwest got to even smell a copy of the book. Ha ha! j/k. Loves to my peeps.
